Dental Crowns & Bridges

Dental crown and model tooth

Still two of the most common restorative dentistry services, dental crowns and fixed bridges allow us the ability to fully repair damage and replace missing teeth. We use only the highest quality materials to ensure crowns and bridges repair patients’ smiles to natural looking, long lasting perfection. The treatment process for both restorations is completed in two appointments. During the initial visit, we prepare the tooth or teeth, capture impressions for our lab, and place a temporary crown or bridge. Once we receive the final restoration, patients return to exchange their temporary for a high quality, custom crafted dental crown or fixed bridge restoration.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

We use tooth-colored fillings to repair minor decay or damage. The process is fast and comfortable, and because we use composite resin rather than amalgam, the results look and feel just like natural dental structures. We begin treatment by numbing the area around the tooth. Then, we remove any damaged tissue. The composite resin is shaded to match the natural dental structures, and we apply the putty-like material directly to the prepared tooth. Once the composite is shaped into position, a curing light is applied to harden the resin into place fully restoring the smile.

Dentures & Partials

Patients missing numerous teeth will likely need to consider a partial or full denture to restore their smile to complete form and function. Dentures use a gum colored base material to support numerous teeth or a full arch. Partials are crafted to fit between remaining healthy teeth where they snap into position with metal clasps. Full dentures are formed to fit against the gum line creating suction that holds the prosthetic snuggly in place. We also offer dental implant supported partial and full dentures for patients interested in increased stability.

Root Canals

Root canals have an unfortunate and unfair reputation. In most cases, patients first know they need a root canal when they experience severe toothache and dental sensitivity. The treatment itself will significantly relieve toothache pain. These treatments are necessary when tooth decay or damage accesses the tooth’s nerve. Root canal therapy removes this damaged tissue leading to almost instant pain relief. Once the damaged nerve tissue is removed, we refill the tooth with a similar substance, reseal the tooth, and place a dental crown to protect the treated tooth.

Extractions

The goal of restorative dentistry is typically to prevent the loss of natural tooth structures. However, there are some cases where our team is unable to preserve a damaged or decayed tooth, despite best efforts. When these situations do occur, Dr. Nguyen puts his years of advanced training and experience to work in order to offer patients safe, comfortable tooth extraction procedures in our state-of-the-art dental office. Some of the most common reasons we recommend tooth extraction include:
